Filing a Grievance
PURPOSE
To establish a grievance policy and procedure within the SLHSC so that a process is available to communicate grievances and allow for appropriate resolution.
To encourage the resolution of grievances and conflicts at the team level whenever possible.
To recognize that some situations cannot be satisfactorily resolved at the team level or at the lowest possible level and require intervention at a higher level within the club.
PROCESS
Discuss and report the grievance with the appropriate parent/coach/team manager.
If the issue is not resolved, submit a detailed formal grievance to the SLHSC Board of Directors via email to board@slhsoccer.com.
RESOLUTION
The SLHSC Board of Directors will determine whether the actions taken to date are appropriate and if no further action is required. or if the grievance requires further investigation and resolution by the SLHSC Board of Directors.
The person filing the grievance is welcome to present their case at any CSSLH Board of Directors meeting. However, the CSSLH Board of Directors reserves the right to deliberate in private if it deems the situation warrants it.
The SLHSC Board of Directors' decision is the final action at the club level.
